We are new to the coast area and one of the reasons Im enjoying our decision to move here is the food. Today at Coastline Caribbean Restaurant finds me and my taste buds in a happy place. We got Oxtails, Curry Chicken, and Curry Goat. All with steamed Cabbage and Rice. Fantastic! Loved my experience and service. Limited seating but enjoyed sitting and watching the Caribbean community support this establishment.

Never had a bad experience there. The people working there are always so friendly. The food is always good.

First time with a long time friend. Had ordered a medium plate of oxtail with two sides, one was rice w peas and collard greens, all in all, cost $13.38. There was 4 pieces of large oxtail, a small side of greens and a hefty portion of the rice, all separated, the man behind the counter was nice enough to add gravy over the rice. Delicioso!!! I've had oxtail before but this was outstanding! Boiled long but not where the meat falls off, such when you get bare bones in the mix you dont want that cuz the bone to meat ratio is higher. The food is mostly prepared so it should be really quick to come grab a bite and go. I'm very excited to try the other dishes like goat curry or oxtail, but you can't go wrong with the jerk.

I am from New Orleans and have been to Jamaica & other places in the Caribbean so I know good food. These people do amazing things with food here. You MUST try if you are around here, hell even if your not take a ride to Gulfport and get some !! But warning, your gonna want more. All the meats are amazing so dont be shy get a lil of everything and take some extra home for later. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.

This was the best Caribbean food I've ever had. I found it on yelp on my way back to Hattiesburg and almost turned around to get a few more plates to take home with me. I got the curry chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage. That cabbage is what set everything off for me. And the curry wasn't too overpowering. Just perfect.

I want to thank this restaurant for her Oxtail plate that I bought. It was so good I went back to them for a plate to take home after ending my trip to the Coast. They have the best Jamaican food in Mississippi. The price for the amount of the Oxtails was well worth it. Will visit every tint I come to Gulf port. Mississippi.

It took my by surprise when I saw the Jamaican flag as I was detouring around some traffic. Being from the islands myself I couldn't help, but stop although it was right between lunch and dinner.

The food was very good and enough for two people unless you eat more than your share for one person... I enjoyed it tremendously and they had all the authentic trimmings including Ting soda!!! It made my day so much that to get the full effect, I took my meal to the beach a block away to eat it.

I plan on getting lost there more often. It's definitely the only show for Caribbean food for miles around, probably on the Gulf Coast outside of Houston, TX. They will need support so if you like Jamaican and Caribbean food or would like to try it I recommend looking them up.

This is the realest Jamaican food spot in town!! The food is made fresh and authentic to Jamaica. I am living in Washington, DC now and I can not find a quality jamaican food spot. This place will beat or give competition to any jamaican food spot in your town or city.

The lunch special starts at $6.00 with a drink included. It consists of rice and peas, plaintain, cabbage, and jerk chicken/stew chicken, or curry chicken.

Very small place. More of a takeout joint. Approx 3 tables and mini grocery with two shelves full of Goodies. Food was authentic and good. Sometimes they may be out of something's but just gives you the opportunity to try something else. Give it a try even if it is takeout.

Authentic cuisine. The spice seemed to have just the right amount of heat at least for my taste. Excellent mix of dirty rice and fine gravy. Friendly service from the counter and free drink at lunch. Also the selection from chicken to shrimp in various treatments leaves much more sampling to be done on later visits. The place is clean and simple with a few tables for those not taking out.

Great food. Large dinner feeds two adults easily. Jerked chicken didn't have a lot of heat but they provided a cup of delicious hot sauce to spice it up. Can't wait to try other things on the menu. While we were dining we got to here a lot of jamaican language spoken which added to the experience.

The first time I came here I tried the oxtail. Had oxtails before in Tallahassee Florida and felt these weren't seasoned right. I decided to give it another try and they were sold out of oxtail so went with the jerk chicken which I tried when I was in New York City. It was excellent. They don't accept cards which is an inconvenience for me and they don't offer restrooms. Great lady that served me the last time. Will be back.

It seems like they make the food and when they're out they're done. But if you want some amazing take out from a hole in the wall you have to check this place out. I had the lunch special which included Jerk chicken, rice & beans (I added gravy), with steamed cabbage and a soda. The chicken was amazing, full of flavor and the chicken was so tender. The cabbage were steamed just right with carrots and red bell peppers that enhanced the flavor. I'm not a fan of beans, but I knew the rice had beans in it, it wasn't an excessive amount of beans and the gravy added a melt in your mouth feel. At $8.29 (tax included) I will definitely be visiting again. I'm a big eater and half way through the plate I am full! Very filling, reasonable price, friendly staff and good eats!!

Parking may be rough as it is right next to a mechanic shop... Don't let this discourage you. This place has very yummy food. Variety of curries and classic jamacian jerk chicken. There's primarily one person that cooks and he is amazing at it.

Great home cooked food. Ox tails with Rice and bean with cabbage. Oh was it good. First time here always seen the restaurant but never stopped . It will not be my last time.

It's a great place and awesome food! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Very very clean. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. If you've been to the Caribbean and you are craving the food, well it's there! The only thing missing is Red Stripe. But their Jamaican ginger beers are stout .

We have been down To the Caribbean many times before and this food is the second best Caribbean food we have ever had (the other was a stand on the side of the road in Costa Rica)... you will not have better food in the south! It supersedes all other food, It is a MUST do! Very very reasonable! The lunch special was about 7$ and very filling (we got the brown gravy chicken stew and the plantains were perfectly cooked and the collard greens were good (would recommend rice instead just to soak up the brown gravy) we got also two sides of meet for about 3$... the jerk chicken and the curry chicken are unbelievable... they even have a peanut drink! The place is very clean and the staff is friendly! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

We came back on Saturday cause we wanted to get their ackee and fish breakfast which is good too and only done on Saturday... I am not a cabbage person but i would eat this cabbage all day

One of my fav. Lunch spots. Staff is super friendly and the food is amazing! Make sure to get the cabbage, its the best I have ever had. 10$ will get you a lunch plate and a can drink.

The Jerk Chicken is awesome!! Love it!

My first time in golfport Mississippi, and I was looking for where to dine for lunch, this place meet all my expectations and the staffs are also respectful. I will definitely come back.

Went in after jerk chicken. Wasn't going to be ready for another 30 min. Had brown stewed chicken, cabbage and rice and peas. Can you say DELISH? O my goodness! Wish I lived here I would be a regular for sure!!!! Definitely good Jamaica food!!!! The owners were awesome... let me have a sample before I bought what I had. Very Kind people! Thank You!

Don't miss this place! It's awesome and tasty!
It may look like a normal place to eat but it's so delicious and the lady that attended us was so nice to us.
Really, If you come down the road and you don't get it, you're a fool!
